Irrigation

Irrigation, planned and repaired

The finished garden is the part everyone sees. The water is the part that keeps it that way.

We plan the irrigation with the design, check it as the garden grows, and repair it when something breaks.

What's included

  • Irrigation planning with the design
  • Drip and spray systems
  • Valve and line repairs
  • Seasonal checks

The part you never see

Most of what makes a garden thrive happens underground. Before the first plant goes in, we work out where the water runs, how much each bed needs and when it should come.

Valves, lines and timers get planned with the planting, not added after it.

Every plant drinks differently

Hydrangeas want steady moisture. Agaves and natives want to dry out between waterings. Put them on the same schedule and one of them suffers.

So the watering plan follows the planting plan, bed by bed.

Water at the roots

Drip lines put water at the roots, where the plant can use it, instead of on leaves and walls.

Less is lost to sun and wind. In San Diego, every gallon counts.

A garden that keeps its look

Gardens change. Plants fill in, the seasons turn, and sooner or later a shovel nicks a line.

We check the system on our visits and fix what needs fixing, so the garden keeps looking the way it did the day we finished.
